This turned out to be straight forward.
I have successfully compiled, and deployed Axis2 on the Windows OpenJDK 6 Build 19 - Server Bundle (Tomcat).
I was also able to use the Axis2 WSDL2Java utility to generate SalesForce.COM classes (and have a webservice that updates records in the CRM based on these classes).
The only hiccup (Pilot error!) was having to re-run initdb as I had a previous version of PG installed and did not remove this cleanly the first time around.
